Makeup in art form

Okay so I can’t help but appreciate makeup as an artistic vision. I am always collecting pallets and finding products to add to my storage. At the moment I have been keeping my makeup pretty natural but when I do go out I tend to go a bit extra.

I won’t list all the products I use today but I will go through the essentials I find helpful for my skin type. Every single person we know is unique and all products will work different but it is a good guideline to educate women out there what variety and choices we have.
The essential beauty kit includes:
A base primer:
I am currently using a blue based one for evening out my skin tone but I find a clear one is fine, if you’re just working with foundation. i like a blurred effect and a little bit of moisture but honestly there’s so many options out there. Priceline has a beauty advisor but if you’re like me and MECCA obsessed they have a great knowledge of their brands and are qualified makeup artists.
Medium coverage foundation:
currently using a Napoleon beauty stick foundation. It is quite thick in consistency and you have to blend it out with a beauty blender sponge or a good brush but I tend to thin it out with a bit of highlighter to give my skin a sheen. The dewy look is nice for A fresh look.
Highlighter:
I absolutely love using highlighting products. I have A Becca illuminating roller purchased from Sephora AU, a NARS pink illuminating cream I blend with my foundation and a powdered one also from NARS to add that strobe finish.
Bronze:
Im not a bit contour girl but I admire those who can take the extra time to master the look. I tend to brush a little bit of bronzed blush or bronzer into the apples of my cheeks. I like the shimmer in my Chanel bronze cheek pallet. It adds a nice bit of colour but without adding a sharp finish.
Mascara:
A no brainer, can’t go without it even to a brunch date with friends or a shopping trip. I don’t clump on too much just a few strokes to curl the natural lash shape. I use Lancôme doll eyes.
Eyes:
Lightly pressed colour usually chocolate tones from my top faced pallet. Sometimes I’ll mix it up with peachy pink tones for warmer days. I love how this smells like white chocolate. 🍬🍬

lips:
I always keep my lips moisturised and I will add a bit of colour using a lip pencil. I adore lanos lips in pear or apple. I will use it before I go to bed so I wake up with hydrated lips. Winter is drying on the skin and also make sure you keep your fluids up even in the colder season.
Don’t forget to use your finishing spray or setting powder, less touch up and helps to smudge proof the makeup. Handy tip for nights out and music festivals.
Much love beauty junkies
keep in touch
